Disgraced cyclist pleads guilty to hit-and-run, fined $238.50

43 year-old disgraced American cyclist, Lance Armstrong pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run incident which occurred in Aspen, Colorado last December.

His girlfriend, Anna Hansen had taken blame for the accident which involved their SUV hitting, two parked cars; she lied about been the one behind the wheels whereas it was Armstrong that drove the car.

Armstrong who had been ordered to pay the sum of $10m to a sports insurance company for the benefits realised from his doped victories when he won seven Tour De France titles, paid the sum of $238.50 to avoid court appearance.
