Mikel Obi has not gotten a game for Chelsea this season as he seems to have been out of Antonio Conte’s plans.
According to several reports, the midfielder is considering a big money move to Shanghai SIPG to reunite with his former manager Villas-Boas.
Mikel and Villas-Boas worked together during the Portuguese manager’s time at Chelsea in the 2011–2012 season.
Mikel’s agent John Shittu confirmed that the midfielder has gotten offers from China.
“There are few clubs in Europe and Asia, they are numerous and are interested in him because he is a quality player, aged only 29, and we just have to speak, so we will see. A lot of interest is there,” Shittu told Goal.

“We have been having a meeting with a few parties who are interested in him, once we are able to agree on the way forward with Chelsea, then we will take it from there."
Shittu also revealed that Mikel and Antonio have been speaking about his future and a decision will be reached after.
