Released under Wondaland/Epic Records, the album is a 14-track Hip-Hop/Rap project which contains the singles 'Little bit more', 'Chief don't run' featuring Roman GianArthur, and 'Long live the chief' and the recently released visual 'The let out' featuring Nana Kwabena.

"The Chief" is rich with multi-ethnic elements, African inspiration and deeply personal storytelling by Jidenna.

The project is a result of the rapper and singer who went through some soul-searching looking to capture his past, and the essence of his roots.
