Dinamo Bucharest midfielder Ekeng passed away at the age of 26 after collapsing on the pitch during a Romanian League game on Friday, May 6.

It was the case of another death On Sunday, May 8;  the Cameroon football federation (Fecafoot) announced the death of Femina Stars of Ebolowa, Jeanine Christelle Djomnang.

According to several reports, she died after collapsing during warm-up for a first division match against club de Louves Minproff.

World soccer players' union raised concerns about the level of first-aid treatment for footballers in Romania following the death Ekeng on Friday.

"While it is too early to draw conclusions from this tragic accident, as police continue to investigate the circumstances, it is clear that some Romanian clubs have a history of skimping on medical facilities," FIFPro said in a statement.
