The traffic offenders were arraigned before a mobile court, where 13 were acquitted and discharged.
“As part of our effort to ensure sanity on the road, the Anambra command has been on steady patrol and our mobile court has been busy to provide speedy and effective apprehension of offenders and penalty to the culpable.
For the month of February, 353 drivers were arrested and made to face the mobile court.
Out of the drivers, 340 of them were convicted for offences such as overloading, worn-out/expired tyres, speed violation among others.
Thirteen of them were discharged,”Ajayi said.
Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the sector commander urged other motorists to obey all traffic rules.
He added that the FRSC needs the people's help in order to reduce road traffic crashes.
