A Mexican wrestling wrester, Hijo del Perro Aguayo died during a match on the night of Friday, March 20 after suffering a fatal blow in the ring in Tijuana, Mexico

Hijo del Perro Aguayo whose real name is Pedro Aguayo went limp on the ropes after a flying kick from his opponent and former WWE star Rey Misterio Jr. hit his neck.

Hijo del Perro Aguayo lay motionless on the floor while the fight continued for nearly two minutes before other fighters and referee realized Aguayo was seriously injured and tended to him.

According to reports, Rijo del Perro Aguayo was taken to the hospital a block away and died about 1:30am on Saturday morning.

The 35-year-old Hijo del Perro Aguayo was one  of the most decorated fghts in the AAA.

He had wrestled for 20 years and was the son of the legendary Pedro 'Perro' Aguayo, now retired and a member of the Aztec lucha hall of fame.

He was a three-time Mexican National Tag Team champion, a former Mexican National Light Heavyweight champion, and a Mexican National Atomicos champion.

According to UK Daily Mail, prosecutor's office said it has opened an investigation into possible manslaughter.
