As it is customary, every time the Music Awards is round the corner, music followers try to second guess and act as oracles in determining who the winners will be, with the hope that their favourite acts win in their respective category.

Leading the list of nominees this year is Davido with six nominations, followed by the trio of Wizkid, Simi and Olamide, who bagged five nominations each.

Usually keenly contested are the categories involving the Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Rap Album of the Year and the Next Rated which comes with a car prize.

So as the clock counts down to the event, we predicted who will be victorious in each categories.

How good are our guesses? We'll find out on Saturday night, even though some categories are keenly contested that more than one winner could befittingly have emerged from the nominated acts.

One thing's however for sure, the Headies have always found a way to balance the scale and draw surprises, so expect the unexpected.
