Ghanaian delegation promises top notch hospitality for Super Eagles
Ghanaian Ambassador to Nigeria Rashid Bawa has promised that the Super Eagles will enjoy their visit to his country for the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against the Black Stars next week.
In a meeting with the Honorable Minister for Sports, Sunday Dare in Abuja on Wednesday, Mr Bawa assured that the Super Eagles will not have any issues getting into the country for the first leg.
He revealed that the Super Eagles will be given a special landing permit to avoid any issues around immigration and the team will be given maximum cooperation to ensure a hospitable stay throughout their time in Ghana.
He also revealed that in a gesture of good faith, the Ghanaian FA has decided to hand over five per cent of the total tickets as complimentary tickets to travelling Nigerian fans.
The Honorable Minister Sunday Dare thanked Mr Bawa for the gesture and promised that Nigeria will also ensure a hitch-free return leg when the Black Stars come to Abuja in around two weeks.
The Super Eagles face off against their longtime foes Ghana in the first leg of their World Cup qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on March 25.
The return leg will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja four days later.
