Veteran television host Frank Edoho refused to offer marriage advice to newlyweds Peller and Jarvis at their wedding ceremony on Saturday, saying he was not qualified to dispense wisdom on a subject he admitted knowing nothing about.

Asked to share words of counsel with the couple at the event, Edoho redirected the moment entirely.

"You're asking me, who knows nothing about marriage, to advise the couple? I am going to give my wishes instead. I wish Peller the happiest of life, the best of blessings and the utmost of peace," he said.

The response comes amidst history between Edoho and the groom. Earlier this year, Peller had revealed during a livestream that Edoho once privately advised him to keep his relationship with Jarvis off social media entirely, warning him against the dangers of broadcasting love online.

"Frank Edoho spoke about me and my baby's relationship last year. He was telling me that I should do things for her but not put it out on social media. He advised me on everything, see what is happening to him now," Peller had said at the time, referencing Edoho's own marital troubles.

The comment landed because of how publicly Edoho's second marriage had unravelled by then. His union with Sandra Edoho collapsed after a string of mutual allegations, including his claim that she had been unfaithful with singer Chike, and her counter-allegations of multiple affairs on his part. The separation played out largely in public view across social media.

Before Sandra, Edoho was married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang, with whom he shares three children. That marriage ended in 2010 after seven years.

At Saturday's ceremony, the man who once counselled Peller on love chose silence over advice and given everything that has followed, few in attendance seemed surprised.
