Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton dominated from start to finish to secure a third win in four races this season.

There was to be no Mercedes one-two, though, as Raikkonen capitalised on a late error from Nico Rosberg to take second.

The Finn had previously recorded a did-not-finish and two fourth places this term, with Raikkonen keen to make a greater impact at the sharp end of the field.

"I am never happy when I finish second," he said on the podium. "After a difficult start of the year it was a good place to get some results and we came through very quickly in the end.

"But unfortunately we ran out of laps. We have to be happy after the way we qualified and way we finished but we will be looking for better results."

Rosberg was forced to settle for third place after encountering difficulty with his brakes.

The German had earlier battled his way back to second after slipping to fourth at the start of the race.

"I enjoyed overtaking the red car, I liked that a lot," Rosberg said.

"I couldn't catch Lewis as we were pretty similar as he pulled away and then I lost my brakes and went straight on two laps from the end and it cost me second place."
