“Follow my teachings and become a millionaire in 90 days” — Nigerian pastor tells members (see video)

While preaching about supernatural speed and the power of God's presence, Komaiya made the bold declaration before worshippers.

"If you do what I teach, you will be a millionaire in 90 days, if not shorter. If you do what I teach, you will cross billions in six months. Look at all the good reports, look at all the good reports, look at all the good reports."

The pastor also described life as a race where speed plays a major role in determining success.

"Life is a race and in every race, speed is a determinant. Life is a race and because life is a race, speed becomes important. Speed is critical because life is a race."

He continued by stressing that everyone is in a race, making speed an important factor.

"Speed is cardinal because this is a race. Speed is important, speed is cardinal because we are in a race. Can you help me tell your neighbour quickly, we are in a race."

To explain his point, Komaiya cited 1 Kings 18:46, where the Bible says the hand of the Lord came upon the prophet Elijah, enabling him to outrun King Ahab's chariot.

Quoting from the Amplified Classic Bible, he said:

"And when supernatural speed answers, 1 Kings 18:46, in the amplified classic, 1 Kings 18:46, the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah, giving him supernatural strength."

He explained that Elijah's ability to overtake others was a sign of supernatural speed.

"He gathered up his loins, outran. When the hand of God is upon you, you will always overtake."

He repeated the point for emphasis.

"You will always overtake. The hand of the Lord was upon Elijah the prophet. The hand of the Lord was upon Elijah. He outran. Supernatural speed empowers you to overtake."

According to the preacher, the real source of supernatural speed is God's presence.

"But look at it. What is the anchor for supernatural speed? The hand of the Lord was upon Elijah."

He went on to explain that Elijah's experience was made possible by the Holy Spirit, God's grace and His presence.

"The anointing of the Holy Spirit was upon Elijah. The grace of God was upon Elijah. The presence of the Lord was upon Elijah."

Komaiya concluded by saying that God's presence, grace, glory and majesty are what produce supernatural speed that goes beyond human ability.

"So therefore, the presence of the Lord, the grace of God, the glory of God, and the majesty of God is the seal that engenders supernatural speed."

He added: "That is speed that is beyond normal. That is speed that is beyond logic. That is speed that is beyond human understanding."

The video has since gone viral, with many Nigerians debating the pastor's statement on social media. While some believers agreed with his message on faith, discipline and divine acceleration, others questioned the claim that following his teachings could make someone a millionaire within 90 days.
