Omagbemi on Saturday, December 3 led the Super Falcons to their eighth Africa Women’s Cup of Nations .

With that title, she became the first woman to win the AWCON as a player and a coach.
Florence won the AWCON on four occasions in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2000.
Other coaches nominated for the award include Florent Ibenge of DR Congo, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic of Uganda, Pitso Mosimane of Mamelodi Sundowns, and Nacer Sandjak of MO Bejaia.

Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa and Zimbabwe were also nominated.
The winners will be announced on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the Glo-CAF Awards night in Abuja.
