Nigeria’s senior basketball team,
D’Tigers who qualified for Rio 2016 Olympic Games virtue of being the winners of the 2016 AfroBasket.
Having lost their first three games to Argentina, Lithuania and Spain, D’Tigers bounced back to beat Croatia in their fourth game.
They will be facing their counterparts from Brazil on Monday, August 15 and could make history by winning the game.
The African champions have obviously improved, showing strength and fight in their lost against highly rated Spain.
Their win against Croatia has put them on the verge of qualifying for the quarter-finals which would be the first time an African country is getting to that stage in the Olympics.
In their way is Brazil who also need a win to progress to the quart-final after losing their last game in overtime to Argentina 111-107 points.
