1. Born to Nigerian father

Alli was born to Kehinde and his ex-wife Denise who is from England. Kehinde was in the United Kingdom studying for a Masters at De Montfort University. He had met Denise at a nightclub.

Kehinde and Denise separated three years after Alli was born.

2. Yoruba prince

Alli’s father Kehinde claims to be a Yoruba prince, that makes the England international also a Yoruba prince by birth.

3. Life in Lagos

Dele Alli lived in Lagos for almost a year. After his Masters, Kehinde relocated to Canada and later returned to Nigeria where his son then about nine-years-old son Alli later joined him.

Kehinde in that interview revealed that Alli lived with him in a 10-bedroom mansion in Lagos.

4. Alli attended school in Lagos

Kehinde also claimed that Alli attended school in Lagos during his stay in Nigeria. According to Alli’s father, the private school cost N10,000,000 (£20,000) annually.

5. Alli’s stepmom is also a Nigerian

Apart from having a Nigerian father, Dele Alli also has a Nigerian mum. In 2006, his dad Kehinde married again this time to a Nigerian woman named Lola.

Alli was his father’s best man at the wedding.
