Pops star gives N1m to needy fan

Davido is a man of his words.

The African pop star has given one million Naira to Olajide Daniel Sanyaolu who is a student in the United Kingdom. Here is it how it unfolded.

In July Davido announced that when he has a million followers on Instagram he would give out one million Naira. On August 12 became the first Nigerian on Instagram to hit the one million follower mark.

Keeping to his promise, Davido announced the winner of his big money giveaway which was Olajide Daniel Sanyaolu. As fate would have it Olajide Daniel Sanyaolu was in dire need of funds.

Two weeks ago Olajide opened a GoFundMe page to help in raising his school fees. His goal is to raise £24,700 for his tuition so that he could apply for a student visa. Before Davido appeared in the picture, Olajide had only raised a little more than £3,900.

Now with Davido's donation he has moved closer to his goal.
