Southampton manager, Ronald Koeman questioned Jose Mourinho’s opinion of himself as the ‘special one’ and duly reminded the Portuguese why he never saw him as one.

Koeman’s Southampton side, subjected Chelsea to their second home league defeat of the season with a 3-1 trashing.

Mourinho brought back captain John Terry to the side but kept Nemanjic Matic and Pedro on the bench.

Willian has become the go to man for Chelsea and he duly delivered again, giving them the lead with a tremendous free-kick in the 10th minute.

They nearly got the second after a crisp exchange of play between Cesc Fabregas and Oscar before the Brazilian struck a shot goal-wards which Maarten Stekelenburg saved.

Southampton however eased themselves back into the game with Sadio Mane being a menace to the Chelsea defense.

The Senegalese could have had a penalty in the 30th minute but after Ramires fouled him in the box but referee waved play on.

He got on the books minutes later for dive but replay showed that he was fell by Branis.av Ivanovic.

Victor Wanyama  tested Asmir Begovic with a swirling cross before Southampton got their deserved equalizer.

Jose Fonte’s long ball was chested down by Graziano Pelle into the path of Steven Davis whose half volley matched found the net.

Southampton were going for the kill at the resumption of the second half as Mane was only denied by Begovic in the 48th minute before Branislav Ivanovic blocked him as the ball rebounded.

Chelsea had a penalty shout turned down after Falcao was fouled by Stekelenburg.

The Colombia international starting his first league game for Chelsea was however given a yellow card for diving.

The impressive Mane put Southampton ahead after getting on a long ball from Pelle to coolly dispatched the finish.

They sealed the win with a third goal in the 70th minute through Pelle.

The Italian got the ball from Mane who had whizzed through the Chelsea defense to score Southampton’s third.
