Adidas release new ball for knockout stages, final

The Champions League returns on Tuesday, February 13 and in what has become a tradition for Adidas, they have unveiled a different ball to be used for the knockout stages and the final.

With the 2018 Champions League final to be played in Kiev, Ukraine on Saturday, May 26, Adidas have taken inspiration from the host city to design the new ball.

The new design, as usual, comes with the Champions League stars that the competition has been known with since 2000.

There is also a touch of blue and yellow used in the Ukrainian flag. There are also silver codas that look like a sunburst.

Second round fixtures

The first leg of Second round fixtures kicks off on Tuesday, February 13 when Juventus and Premier League leaders ManchesterCity travel to Switzerland to face FC Basel.

On Wednesday, February 14, Liverpool make the trip to Portugal to face FCPorto while defending champions Real Madrid.

On Tuesday, February 20, BayernMunich host Besiktas while old Champions League rivalry will be stirred up when Chelsea welcome Barcelona.

On Wednesday, February 21, Sevilla play host to Manchester United while Roma make the trip to Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk.

The final will be held at the NSK Olimpiyskyi Stadium in Ukraine.
