Mildred Okwo is a year older today

Mildred Okwo whose birthday is today, April 29 is a Nollywood director and producer.

She studied Theatre Arts at the University of Benin, and also studied Law in the United States. She made her entry into Nollywood in 2006.

Mildred Okwo is an influential figure in Nollywood. She is one of the movie practitioners in Nigeria who created the  Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences approved Nigerian Oscars Selection Committee.

In 2012, she directed the award winning romantic-comedy-drama .
