A remote-controlled bomb has killed two soldiers in Niger, military sources in the country have said.

The explosive was reportedly planted by Boko Haram terrorists near the southeastern town of Diffa.
Security officials in Niger also stated that one soldier was injured in the blast.
“We had two soldiers killed on Wednesday in a remote controlled explosion. We took up the chase and killed the two militants responsible for the attack, near a bridge over the Kamadougou River,” an officer told Reuters.
Niger has come under attack from Boko Haram due to its participation in a multinational force formed to combat the sect.
