Governor withdraws suit against APC Lawmakers

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose has withdrawn a suit filed against the 19 All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in the state.

Fayose had taken the legislators to court in a bid to stop them from impeaching him and his Deputy, Kolapo Olusola.

The governor however withdrew the suit from the Abuja Federal High Court on Wednesday, April 29, 2105.

Fayose’s decision to withdraw was communicated by his lawyer, Ahmed Raji.

Raji did not however specify the reason for the withdrawal.

Meanwhile the lawmakers have accused Fayose of bribing the labour unions in the state to go on strike in order to stop the impeachment proceedings against him.
