Super Eagles forward speaks on his friendship with Iheanacho

Since joining the national team, Iwobi and Iheanacho have struck up a friendship which is easy to see in pictures.

On the pitch also, the Premier League stars have also struck up a partnership for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

In a recent interview, Iwobi reveals why Iheanacho is his favourite roommate.

“He’s always entertaining and making people laugh. He is down-to-earth as well, so I love rooming with him,” Iwobi said.

The Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr used Iwobi and Iheanacho friendship as an example for how he wants his players to bond with each other.

Using the Iwobi and Iheanacho friendship as an example, the Franco-German coach believes that the squad will perform better on the pitch when players bond off it.

“The duo are very close outside the pitch and it’s clear to see on the pitch, as they get along easily,” Rohr said of the pair.
