CAF holds draws in Equatorial Guinea, groups unveiled

The draws for the 2015 African Cup of Nations, was held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday night; the tournament is now set to kick-off on January 17, 2015 to February 8.

Familiar foes are aired against each other in the groups while it is a scary feisty for the teams in Group C.

Hosts, Equatorial Guinea have a rather fair pairing in Group A against 2013 losing finalists, Burkina Faso; co-hosts two years agp, Gabon and Congo DR

Group B is another tough team with three former champions including Zambia, Tunisia, Cape Verde and DR Congo

Group C boasts of the strongest competition in Ghana, Algeria, South Africa and Senegal .

Group D brings two big teams on the continent against each other as Ivory Coast will match up against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon  in one of the games in the Group; while Mali and Guinea complete the lists

The Groups

Group A: Equatorial Guinea, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Congo: matches to be played in Bata venue

Group B: Zambia, Tunisia, Cape Verde, DR Congo:  matches to be played in Ebibeyin venue

Group C: Ghana, Algeria, South Africa, Senegal: matches to be played in Mongomo venue
