2023 Elections: Peter Obi arrives polling unit, optimistic of victory

Peter Obi, the Labour Party's nominee for president, has expressed confidence as voting begins.

On Saturday, Obi gave a brief interview to reporters at his voting location, PU 019, Umudimakasi Square, Agulu, Anambra State.

While speaking to newsmen, Obi said the first thing he will do if elected is to ThankGod. 

When asked if he will be willing to work with the opposition if he happen to lose, he said, "No it won't come to that but I am not looking for job, I am very contented person."

"I want to show compassion. I want to help pull people out of poverty. 

"When I was governor, I was governor because God wanted me to be governor," he added.

He went on to assure the journalists and supporters that people would still be able to take pictures with him when he becomes the president.
