APC postpones governorship primaries

The postponement has reportedly been confirmed by the State Secretary of the party, Rotimi Rahman.

Chief John Odigie Oyegun-National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The primary elections were initially scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 27.

The Ondo APC is said to have moved the polls in a bid to calm the rising tensions in the party.

The postponement has reportedly been confirmed by the State Secretary of the party, Rotimi Rahman.

The party has been thrown into crisis by a leadership tussle and APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu’s endorsement of one governorship candidate, Dr Segun Abraham.

Ondo APC Chairman, Chief Isaac Kekemeke had earlier promised that the party would not manipulate the primaries.
