The first of The Space Legend Series has held with masterful vintage performances from Onyeka Onwenu, Orlando Julius, King Sunny Ade, and Sir Ebenezer Obey.

The event which held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, on Saturday, May 21, 2016, had the finest of live music designed to provide premium experience and class entertainment to the high net-worth Individuals, accomplished personalities and captains of industries.

Timi Dakolo opened up the night with a resounding performance of Aerosmith’s ‘I don’t wanna miss a thing’, before moving on to other covers. He wrapped up his shift with his hit track ‘Iyawo mi’. Next was Gloria Ibru, who teamed up with Afrobeat musician, Dede Mabiaku to serenade guests.
Jazz was very much on the cards, as Saxophonist and Afrobeat performer, Orlando Julius, made an entrance with his signature instrument. He sang, played, and got assisted by his dancers and wife. Terry Apala brought back the proceedings to today’s clime, mixing Apala music with trap, before calling on the DJ for an assisted song.
One of the big three for the night, the elegant Onyeka Onwenu was all shades of beauty and grace as she took to the stage to roll back the times with evergreen music. She was imperious, working her way through her catalogue of hits which made her enter the echelons of exportable African music. She teamed up with King Sunny Ade for a performance to wrap up her set.
King Sunny Ade, was the zenith of the night, as he gave a masterful performance backed by a band. He danced, sang, and mesmerized the audience with his stagecraft, honed over a lifetime of hits, parties, and influences.
The music legend, Sir Ebenezer Obey wrapped up proceedings with a display of timeless singing, African drums, and immersive guitars.
