Junior Achievement Nigeria to empower 50 girls with LEAD Camp this July
The Leadership, Empowerment, Achievement and Development (LEAD) camp will take place from July 9 - July 14 in Lagos.

Speaking at the press conference which took place at Newcastle hotel, Oniru on Friday, July 6, 2018, Executive Director JAN, Dr. Simi Nwogugu said "I developed LEAD camp back in 2001 because, after 2 years of running JAN, I noticed that some of the girls who were shy or timid at the beginning of the company program were more confident by the end and needed just a little more encouragement to secure their new found leadership skills".
"17years later, we now have several notable LEAD camp alumni leading and working in positions and positions doing impactful work to make the world a better place" she concluded.
Other speakers at the press conference include Alumna Oduolayinka Osunloye, JAN Board member, Rufai Ladipo, Lead, Citizenship and Sustainability Union Bank, Ololade Awogbade and Alumna Orode Uduaghan.
The activities lined up include leadership workshops, empowering discussions with leading women from the private and public sectors in Nigeria; conceptualization, development and implementation of group projects serving the needs of girls in Nigeria.
The mission of LEAD Camp is to inspire and empower young girls to become high achieving women leaders. Participants are taken through series of activities including leadership workshops delivered by HOD Consulting Inc., panel sessions featuring notable leaders from public and private sectors, achievement sessions anchored by media mentors and self-development sessions
