Independence Day 2015 had loads of fun events take place. One of them was the first ever Abuja Grill & BBQ Festival – a follow up from the Lagos Grill & BBQ Festival held during Easter. The event took place in the Federal Capital Territory’s Harrow Golf Park, Abuja and was supported by Jack Daniels and Pepsi.

The first ever Abuja Grill & BBQ Festival – a follow up from the Lagos Grill & BBQ Festival held in the Federal Capital Territory’s Harrow Golf Park, Abuja.
The festival offered guests the chance to sample different selections of meats and delicacies, both local and from around the globe. It also featured the distinctive barbecue styles of many food emporiums like The Grind Grill, Jalapenos Grill, Grill In and Out, The Grill Party, Barkano Grill, Tree House Grill, La Rouge Chef, Rebhan Grills, Seun B, Shirleys, Franks Prime Hotdog, Japhar Grill and more.
With tickets sold out and an impressive turnout, the maiden edition was indeed a success. Media personalities and A-List celebrities were in attendance with music provided by Wande Coal, Niniola, Largess, DJ Lambo and entertainment by EmmaOhMyGod.
That’s not all. There was much more to see with side attractions like game trucks, recreational games, funfair for kids, a Master Class by Chef Fregz etc.
Speaking om the event, Grill Master Francis Ebie (Chief Coordinator) said – “A huge thanks to everyone for coming to the first-ever Grill and bbq Festival in Abuja. We hope you had a great time. Next year promises to be bigger and better!“
The festival moves to Accra, Ghana, as The Grind in collaboration with Golden Apple Marketing Solutions brings to you, The Accra Grill & BBQ Festival, scheduled to take place this December in Ghana.
