British-Nigerian actor is Forbes' 10th highest grossing actor of 2017

Check out Forbes 2017's top 10 highest-grossing actors, including John Boyega.

According to Forbes, while "Star Wars: The Jedi"hasn't performed like 2015's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," it has already grossed 800 million dollars globally.

Also, Boyega's roles in small movies such as "Detroit" and "The Circle" also earned him the spot.

Taking the top spot on the list is Vin Diesel with $1.6 billion in global ticket sales. This is mostly a result of his role in the 8th installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, "Fate of the Furious," which grossed $1.2 billion at the box office.

Also his role in "xXx: The Return of Xander" juiced his total.

"Jumaji" actor Dwayne Johnson comes in second spot with $1.5 billion in global ticket sales.  Taking the third spot is "Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot with  $1.4 billion.
