Over time, these small changes in your daily spending habits will lead to more spare money that can go into paying off your debt. Its simple, the more money you can save, the faster it is to get rid of your debt.

We all want to get rid of our debts but the truth is that these things don't happen overnight and being impatient will only make things worse.

During a recent interview, Davido revealed how he felt when he learned he was expecting twins while dealing with&nbsp;<a data-link-role-code="open_new_tab" href="https://www.pulse.ng/news/local/police-confirm-davidos-son-drowned/brmln38">the loss of his 3-year-old son</a>,&nbsp;Ifeanyichukwu Adeleke.

On dealing with the devastating loss of his son, the renowned artist appreciated his support system for being there for him.

Citing rough macroeconomic conditions, the statement read, "After much consideration and reflection, we have come to a difficult decision. This has not been an easy choice. We’ve explored various avenues to keep our virtual bookshelves alive, but, unfortunately, the challenges we face are insurmountable".

The CEO went on to express his sincere gratitude to the literature community for their support over the years before briefly touching on the future.

<h2>Nollywood legend Kanayo O Kanayo is set to play the lead role in Showmax's latest series, Agu.</h2>

The six-part legal drama revolves around the law, family rivalries, and a touch of the supernatural. However, nothing is as it seems on the case, and as the trial unfolds, the series sheds light on the characters’ complex relationships and dark secrets while also exploring the struggle between legal and traditional belief systems.

<h2>The African International Film Festival 2023 takes a bow with the closing Globe Awards ceremony.</h2>

Speaking on a panel discussion at the ongoing 12th edition of <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/movies/babatunde-apalowos-all-the-colours-of-the-world-to-debut-at-afriff-2023/dtxkq8x">the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF)</a>, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at West Africa, MultiChoice dispelled the stereotype that women only watch romance dramas.

According to her, women enjoy romance, drama, as well as action, thrillers, sports, WWE, UFC, and even cartoons.&nbsp;

In her words, "It is quite interesting to note that women do not conform to the stereotype of only watching romance dramas. According to our data, they enjoy a variety of genres including action, thrillers, sports, WWE, UFC, and even cartoons. It is important to note that data is power. Back then and even now, we still do not do anything without data. We take pride in understanding our market and effectively targeting its diverse segments, offering something for everyone."

Tejumola also spoke about how women are portrayed on <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/movies/the-real-housewives-of-lagos-season-2-breaks-showmax-record/b22r3x5">reality TV</a>, noting that what is shown on our screens simply mirrors what happens in real life.

"Reality TV is a reflection of real life with elements of truth," the MultiChoice executive stated. "It is crucial for the industry to consider what narratives they want to promote, like the portrayal of female leaders and heroes, and start playing key roles in shaping the narratives viewers want to see on screen."

Also speaking on the theme of the panel, Women in Film: Community Over Competition, <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/movies/busola-tejumola-gets-elected-into-academy-responsible-for-emmy-awards/e7l3cpn">Tejumola</a> stressed the importance of mentorship, collaboration, and finding a supportive community.

"Individually, you can mentor many people, but it's also crucial to find a mentor, coach and sponsor within any space you’re looking to grow in. A sponsor is someone who speaks on your behalf and opens doors for you, even in rooms you are not present in. Having a sponsor is the first step, and if you are able, it is also important to sponsor someone in return, taking an interest in their growth and providing opportunities when possible. Collaboration and building a supportive community are essential, focusing on elevating one another rather than competing. This community-over-competition approach helps create opportunities and connections," she stated.

Tejumola's panel featured Chioma Onyenwe, Founder, Raconteur Productions, Nigeria; Mary Njoku, Actress, Film Producer, and Founder, ROK TV; Chioma Ude, Founder, AFRIFF; Uche Jombo, Actress and Screenwriter; and Kem Anyanwu, CEO &amp; Founder, Kemystry.

Directed by Apalowo, All the Colours of the World Are Between Black and White&nbsp;tells the restrained and tender story of two men named Bambino and Bawa who meet in Lagos during a photography competition and immediately hit it off.

During long trips exploring the city, they develop a deep affection for each other. However, they have to deal with the pressure that comes with living in a society that is against homosexuality.

Written by Apalowo and produced by&nbsp;Damilola Orimogunje,&nbsp;the movie stars&nbsp;Tope Tedela, Riyo David, Martha Ehinome Orhiere,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Uchechika Elumelu.

Discussing the theme of the movie, the writer and director stated,&nbsp;“The main theme of the film is love, as it is a love story between two people, despite their sexual identities. The intention was to tell a simple love story that would be relatable to everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation. The themes of identity and self-discovery are also explored as Bambino, the main character, navigates his own past and seeks closure on events that have shaped him. The film is a reflection on love, identity, acceptance, and the complexities of navigating life as an outsider in a society that often rejects those who are different.”

Told in English and Igbo, the movie is produced by Chioma Onyenwe and directed by&nbsp;Ishaya Bako,&nbsp;with&nbsp;Femi Awojide&nbsp;as Director of Photography. The director describes the movie as "a universal story. It’s a story of family, a story of ambition and a story of greed. Confidence scams or tricks have existed for over a century, since the Spanish prisoner letters in the 1800s, and the Nigerian Prince or 419 scams are an evolution of this. They have taken their own notoriety over the decades, but the book provided a more nuanced narrative which made it a lot more interesting to read, and to imagine as a film. The producers and I put a lot of care and thought into the development and production of the film and I think our adaptation of I Do Not Come To You By Chance beautifully reflects the intersection of Nigerian literature and film."

Prior to showing in Nigeria, the feature made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as part of this year's Centrepiece (previously Contemporary World Cinema) program.

As Chidera embarks on a personal quest for self-acceptance, the short film takes viewers on an evocative and visually stunning cinematic journey.

On getting selected for the festival, the Nigerian-born, British-American actress and rising filmmaker said, "Chidera is a project very close to my heart. It's essential to use film as a medium to shed light on important social issues and empower our youth. This short film embodies the message of resilience, self-love, and embracing one's identity, and I can't wait to share it with the world at AFRIFF."

The project comes from Aluko's production company, “SopeBox Productions”. Prior to screening at AFRIFF, the short film made its world premiere at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), an Oscar qualifying Film Festival, in June 2023.

Aluko is best known for her roles in Marvel’s <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/movies/sope-aluko-7-things-you-should-know-about-nigerian-in-black-panther-movie/qdpw8hs">Black Panther</a> (2018), which she reprised in Wakanda Forever (2022), as well as Venom.

<h2>The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) has announced Breath of Life as the closing film of its 12th edition.</h2>

Written and directed by BB Sasore (God Calling), <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/movies/wale-ojo-to-reportedly-lead-cast-of-amazon-nigerian-original-breath-of-life/lmmckb7">the faith-themed film</a> tells the story of a man who has lost his sense of purpose until an encounter with a young man changes his life and destiny.

“An inspirational story about life and destiny where one must live to fulfil their purpose and cannot die until this is done," the logline reads.

Produced by Eku Edewor, Breath of Life&nbsp;is set in 1950s Lagos, Nigeria. Led by Wale Ojo, the cast includes Genoveva Umeh, Chimezie Imo, Bimbo Manuel, Tina Mba, Demola Adedoyin, Sam Dede, and Sambasa Nzeribe.

The upcoming title is a Prime Video original, the first of a three-picture deal with Nollywood production house Nemsia Films.

Confirming the deal in 2022, Ayanna Lonian, director of content acquisition and head of worldwide major studio licensing strategy at Prime Video, said, "We are very excited to collaborate with Nemsia Films on this pioneering slate deal, which will complement our growing lineup of local Nollywood content for Prime Video customers. This slate deal supports our goal to showcase Nollywood at its best by telling authentic homegrown stories in a range of genres to Prime Video customers around the world."
