The 25-year-old has been named among the Bath replacements after recovering from a fractured cheekbone sustained in the NRL Grand Final last month.

All eyes will be on Burgess, who has been billed as a contender to force his way into the England squad for next year's World Cup on home soil after switching codes.

There has been much debate over what position Burgess will be most effective in and Bath coach Mike Ford revealed that he is likely to be employed at centre.

Powerhouse Burgess went on to produce a man-of-the-match display as South Sydney Rabbitohs were crowned NRL champions despite playing almost the entire game with a fractured cheekbone.

Burgess signed a three-year contract with Bath and will need to hit the ground running when he commences his rugby union career in order to have any chance of forcing his way into Stuart Lancaster's England squad.
