The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup race at Oberstdorf in Germany has been postponed until Monday due to excessive snowfall and wind.

The first event of the Four Hills tournament was due to get under way at 16:30 local time (15.30 GMT) even after the trial round had to be cancelled due to the weather conditions.

However, following a series of delays and postponements, officials took the decision to stage the event on Monday instead.
"The weather conditions remained too difficult today in Oberstdorf. The competition was cancelled," read a statement on the FIS website.
Monday's trial round is due to get under way at 16.30 local time (15.30 GMT).
