According to the schedule released by the Premier League Liverpool welcome Manchester City to Anfield early in the season on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Manchester City however host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium late in the season on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

This is the second season in a row that Liverpool will play the first game against Manchester City at home.

According to Liverpool fans the schedule by the Premier League does not favor them.

Fans of Jurgen Klopp's team insisted on social media that Manchester City hosting the crucial second leg at home late in the season is to their advantage.

The two sides have been battling for the Premier League title for five seasons and fans want every possible advantage they can get.
