Serena Williams Says She Won't Give Meghan Markle Parenting Advice—At Least Not Yet

When you have a baby, suddenly everyone and their mom wants to give you advice on how to parent your kid. But apparently, Serena Williams isn't about that life.

Serena recently appeared on BBC to chat about Wimbledon (which starts today) and was asked about the parenting advice shed give to her buddy Meghan Markle . Serenas answer was so, so awesome.

I never pass on words of wisdom, especially when youve just had a baby-its so difficult to just be, Serena said, per the Daily Mail. I just think get through the first three or four months and then we can talk. Can I get a slow clap?

Serena, who is mom to one-year-old Alexis Olympia, and Meghan, who (everyone knows) had baby Archie in early May , have been friends since they met at a Super Bowl party in 2010. The two are apparently super close: Meghan once wrote on her lifestyle blog The Tig that they hit it off immediately," per the Daily Mail.

Serena even put together Meghans baby shower in NYC. "Planning something like that takes a lot of effort. Im a perfectionist, so Im like, 'Lets make it perfect,'" Serena told Business of Fashion days after the shower went down. "Its been a lot the last few days."

The shower reportedly took place at the Grand Penthouse of the Mark Hotel and reportedly included a flower-arranging lesson by floral designer Lewis Miller. It also had food from Michelin-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, so well done, Serena!

Serena secretly met baby Archie just a few weeks after he was born, according to the Daily Mail . So, while only those two know what they talked about during that meet-and-greet, everyone now knows what they didn't talk about.
