How to make Earl Grey Toddy

The taste of Earl Grey tea on it’s own, with lemon and honey or even with milk is absolutely divine.

The taste of the bergamot flavoured black tea is refreshing. Now imagine the taste of this with a shot of your favourite bourbon. This mixture is called hot toddy.

What you need:

  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 1-2 oz of your favourite bourbon (whiskey)
  • 4 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 cups boiling water

Directions:

  • Boil water in a saucepan.
  • Once water is boiled, remove from heat. Put tea bags in and cover the saucepan with a lid. Leave to steep for about
  • Remove the water from the heat; add in the tea bags and cover.  Allow the tea to infuse for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Pour in lemon juice, add honey and mix.
  • Pour 1-2 oz of the bourbon into a mug and add the tea.
  • Garnish with a slice or two of lemon.
