Heartbreak for Nigerian girls as Maduka Okoye's girlfriend shows up

It is heartbreak for Nigerian ladies after it emerged that Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is in a relationship. Okoye is the darling of many Nigerian ladies for his fine looks. 

The 22-year-old caught ladies' attention at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Even when he was blamed for Nigeria's exit from the competition, Okoye still had the backing of the ladies.

However, any lady's hope of getting into a relationship with the Nigerian has been dashed, at least for now, after the goalkeeper's girlfriend shared their cute pictures in matching outfits. 

Okoye's girlfriend, whose Instagram handle is jelicia.westhoff, posted a picture of herself with Okoye in beautiful African prints.

To clear any doubts, Jessica added a caption which read: "Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same."

The latest development is a big blow for all Nigerian ladies who have been crushing on Okoye. 

Okoye has been Nigeria's goalkeeper since 2019, making his debut for the Super Eagles in a 1-1 friendly against Brazil. Since then, he has gone on to establish himself as the number one goalkepeer. 

However, he came under fire after Nigeria crashed out at the 2021 AFCON. Okoye is currently not with the team preparing to play Mexico and Ecuador in two international friendlies. 

The new-Watford goalkeeper pulled out of the team for the friendly games and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers to undergo a lingering shoulder injury.
