Ahead of Davido's upcoming fifth single '5ive,' his close friend, Cubana Chief Priest, has taken to social media to send a heartfelt message to the Afrobeats superstar.

In a post on his Instagram account, the socialite and businessman described Davido as his best friend and treasure, whom he intends to protect for life.

He also shared that Davido keeps him alive with his music so much that he was inspired to become a musician himself.

The duo has been very vocal about their friendship, which has continued to wax stronger over the years.

Cubana Chief Priest was one of the groomsmen in Davido's news-making wedding in 2024. The duo has also been pictured at events, including in many of Davido's concerts.

Davido's influence as an artist recently rubbed off on Cubana Chief Priest, who kicked off his music career with a song featuring Boypee, Hyce, and Brown Joel.

The song titled 'More Money' was executive produced by Davido, in another moment that captures their friendship.

Fans can expect that Chief Priest will be one of the most vocal advocates of Davido's upcoming album '5ive'.

Davido recently released the tracklist for his upcoming album, which is scheduled for an April 18 release.

The project will feature guest appearances from Afrobeats stars Omah Lay and Victony.

Other Nigerian artists on the album include OdumoduBlvck and Chike, whom he featured on the single 'Fund.'

The album also features international stars led by Jamaican star YG Marley, whom he featured on the song 'Awuke,' released as the first single of the album.

Other Caribbean stars on the album include Shensea and 450.

American R&B and his long-term collaborator Chris Brown also appear on the album. 3-time Grammy winner Victoria Monet and Latin pop star Becky G also feature on the album.

South African music star Musa Keys also appears on the album after featuring on Davido's Grammy-nominated single 'Unavailable' off his record-breaking fourth album 'Timeless'.

Davido also features French hitmakers Dadju & Tay C as the tracklist showcases his desire to cater to multiple markets in a reflection of his status as a global star.
