The photos show that Anton Yelchin’s car rolled back with so much force that his body was not only pinned in between the rods of the gate to his home, it actually bent the metal.

According to TMZ, Yelchin died from a car accident on Sunday, June 19, 2016 after his car rolled backward down his driveway and pinned him against a brick mailbox pillar and a security fence at his home in Studio City, Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old actor was said to have gotten out of the car moments before, but it was unclear why he was behind it when it started rolling.

Yelchin was on his way to meet friends for a rehearsal. When he didn't show up, the group came to his home and found him dead, Los Angeles police Officer, Jenny Hosier said.
