The Super Eagles of Nigeria got all three goals in the first half; Ahmed Musa chipping in with a brace and Kelechi Iheanacho with one goal.

The friendly game was put together to prepare the Super Eagles for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa on June 10.

Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr named a strong side for the friendly game.

Ikechukwu Ezenwa started in goal with Abdullahi Shehu, Elderson Echiejile (Captain) William Troost-Ekong and Chidozie Awaziem in defence.

Mikel Agu, Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo were named in midfield. Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho played in a front three.

Musa opened scoring in the third minute; pouncing on a loose ball after the Togo goalkeeper had spilt an Iwobi shot, to score.

The Leicester City forward added a second in the 17th minute from an Iwobi assist before Iheanacho completed the rout, tapping into the net from an Etebo pass in the 27th minute.

The second half was uneventful as Super Eagles boss Rohr made several changes.

Musa and Abdullahi were taken out for Victor Osimhen and Tyronne Ebuehi respectively just before the second half, while Etebo and Ndidi were replaced by Uche Agbo and Henry Onyekuru respectively in the 59th minute.

Iwobi, Iheanacho and Ezenwa were later taken out for Kayode Olanrewaju, Sikiru Olatunbosun and Dele Alampasu respectively in the 70th minute before Agu was replaced by Ibrahim Alhassan.

Those nine substitutions by Rohr meant the friendly game won’t be graded by FIFA when the world football body decides its monthly rankings.
