Obiano has won in 13 of the 21 local governments in Anambra, at the time of reporting.
APC's Tony Nwoye is thus far polling a distant second with Obaze Oseloka of the PDP polling third.
The figures we have aren't yet official, so we won't be posting them here.
The election was peaceful amid voter apathy which stemmed from secessionist IPOB's threat to disrupt the vote and end lives of voters.
Most of the candidates have each expressed hopesof winning as well.
There were also incidents of vote buying and ballot box stuffing in certain districts.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will remain vigilant until the last vote is counted.
“Election can be manipulated at any stage, so we have to be vigilant until the final result is collated and the winner is announced by the commission", said INEC's Director of Publicity and voter education, Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi.
“The collation of result from the units to the state level is ongoing. Until the final result is announced ,INEC remains vigilant to ensure that the people’s votes count.
