Rapper premieres “The First Wave” EP at Industry Nite concert

Industry Nite concert, which held at Hardrock Café, Lagos, had the rapper perform songs off the project to a mixed crowd of fans, media and family.

Two weeks after he premiered the “The First Wave” EP, Ycee has held a celebratory concert at Industry Nite to mark the release.

Released on April 7, 2017, the EP which marks the rappers first project since he broke through in 2015 contains 8 tracks.

The rapper performed songs off the EP, with hit tracks ‘Link up’, and ‘Juice’, moving the crowd. There were also performances by Dapo Tuburna, Bella Alubo, Tjan, and Saeon.

Pulse reviewed "The First Wave" EP, scoring it a 2.5, with the verdict that: “First Wave” EP isn’t the instant-classic debut he might have hoped for, but a few parts of it deliver on his promise, and offers hints at where he might go from here.
