Events in Abuja took a funny turn on May Day when a host of comedians stormed the Federal Capital Territory for the 20 Anniversary of Opa Williams’ A Night of a Thousand Laughs, Nigeria’s longest-running and arguably most successful comedy concert. This year’s edition, labelled as the “Master Class Edition” featured the likes of Funnybone, Osama, Accapella, Chuks D General and Seyi Law to name a few.
Korede Bello, Seyi Law, Funnybone, Osama, Accapella, others storms Abuja
The city of Abuja had a rib cracking May Day celebration as one of the most biggest comedy concert in Nigeria stormed the Federal Capital Territory.
If there’s one thing for sure about Nigerians, is that they love their music and comedy and as such, braved the acute fuel scarcity in the city to come out to get their comedy fix. It was only right that veteran comedian Basketmouth served as an excellent Master of ceremonies to reward them for showing out. Korede Bello provided musical refreshments with an energetic and crowd-engaging performance featuring a compilation of his hit songs currently making rounds on the airwaves. From Shortcut to Seyi Law and others, the sold-out audience definitely got their money’s worth in comic relief It was safe to say that it was another successful event put together by Yankee Entertainment.
The next show from the stables of Yankee Entertainment in collaboration with Hypertek and Buckwyld Media will be Eargasm featuring Sir Victor Uwaifo and 2Baba holding on the 20 of next month.
20 just seems to be Yankee’s number this year…
