Candidates query JAMB about their results on Twitter
Some 2018 UTME candidates on Twitter are asking JAMB to explain why their results have not been released.
The Head of Media and Information of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, Dr Fabian Benjamin had announced on Sunday, March 18, 2018, that the results would be released in batches between Monday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 20.
Also, in a telephone interview with Daily Post on Tuesday, Benjamin said ''the results can be assessed from Tuesday afternoon''.
However, some of the candidates who have tried to check their results have not been able to see their UTME scores.
Frustrated by lack of access to their result, the candidates took to Twitter to ask the exam body to explain why their results have not been released as announced.
The Twitter user, @Realabdulmajeed who tweeted on behalf of his brother who sat for the exam on Monday, March 12 said his brother's result has not been released, and JAMB tweeted back saying, ''Kindly note that the results are being released in batches''.
This however prompted more questions for JAMB as affected candidates directed their queries to the exam body.
Below are some of their tweets.
JAMB did not reply to the candidates' tweets
However, while the candidates kept asking questions about what is wrong and when their results would eventually be released, JAMB did not respond to any of the questions apart from the first reply.
Recall that on Sunday, March 2018, the board spokesman, Fabian Benjamin said the 2018 UTME results would be delayed because the results have to undergo total scrutiny before being posted on JAMB website.
The 2018 UTME, which started on Friday, March 9, 2018, has since ended on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
