Abducted lecturer released
BUK lecturer who was kidnapped on Thursday, October 6, has been released and reunited with his family.
Confirming the release during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Sunday, October 9, the Director, Public Affairs of the University, Malam Ahmed Shehu, said the lecturer has been reunited with his family.
“As I am talking to you now, the lecturer has regained his freedom since Friday, Oct. 7, and reunited with his family,” he said.
Shehu did not reveal if any ransom was paid in exchange for the lecturer's release but said it was a miracle of God.

As earlier reported, Aliyu-Kiri, a lecturer in the Faculty of Computer Science of the university, was abducted along with two other persons on his way back from Oyo state where he supervised the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme, (SIWES).
