Christ Embassy G.O says divorce is not for Christians
While mostly blaming his ex-wife, Anita, for the end of their marriage, Chris Oyakhilome has revealed his thoughts on divorce.
Some claim that people should be allowed to leave, when things get too bad, while others feel that marriage is forever, at least, until death comes.
Chris Oyakhilom's latest statements indicate that he agrees with this second school of thought, despite splitting from his wife, earlier this year.

PM News reports that the General Overseer of Believers Love World, aka Christ Embassy, has said that divorce is not for Christians while putting the blame for the end of his marriage on his ex-wife, Anita.
“Christians should not have a divorce, it shouldn’t be. But that doesn’t mean a Christian should not take this step, they may, but that doesn’t make it right, and we shouldn’t take one another to court. But when it happens, we are not the one going," he said.
Continuing in the same vein, he says, “when it comes to Rev. pray for her. If you are married to a man of God, it doesn’t make you automatically mature, you can make mistakes..”
On negative stories by some media houses in Nigeria and South Africa, he says, "I understand that some media houses, particularly in Nigeria, and may be in South Africa, have been writing some real stupid things with frivolous charges. That’s crazy. I wasn’t accused of those things you said, nor did I commit those stupid things that you said…”
Chris and Anita's divorce was finalized on February 8, 2016.
