Indigenous language teaching app gets upgrade

Makers of Yoruba101, an interactive Yoruba language teaching mobile app for kids, Genii Games limited have announced an updated version 2.0 of the app.

Yoruba101 is a starter to the Yoruba Language and culture for kids. In the updated version the user is on a quest to become a legend by unlocking famous Yoruba legends such as Sango, Oduduwa and more. The unlocking process require the user to finish each game with excellent results.

According to the company’s blog, the user learns from over a dozen topics in the game and then completes the subsequent game to show his/her knowledge of the lesson learnt. The user then unlocks an animated legend along with useful information about the legend to fill up the user’s gallery.

The user is then crowned a Yoruba101 legend upon excellent completion of all the games and successfully unlocking all the legends.

The company says the new update was driven by feedback from users of the previous version. The new version of the app is now available on Google Play Store for android and App Store for iOS. Old users of the app only need to update it from the respective app stores.
