Senator Shehu Sani has been suspended by the Tudun Wada ward of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.
Punch Newspapers reports that the ward, in a letter, signed by its secretary, Ahmed Abdulhamid also suspended the Public Relations Officer, Auwal Mai Anguwa; and ex-officio members, Aminu Alilan, Said Sani.
An excerpt of the letter reads: “Hardly a week passes by that his group will not be on air criticising and challenging the enduring legacies of Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, that his statement on national issues is not in conformity with that of the state government and government of Kaduna State.”
The letter also said that Sani’s has continuously antagonised the Governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai.
Commenting on the purported suspension, an aide to the embattled Senator, Mr. Suleiman Ahmed, said “They are toeing the line of the state secretariat of the party, so our reaction is that those that wrote this letter are ignorant of the party’ constitution and they are dancing to the tune of the state executive of the party and Governor Nasir el-Rufai.”
Senator Shehu Sani recently adopted orphans totalling sixty (60) in number in the Adonai Orphanage Home, Kaduna as his children.
