Kenyan award-winning group Sauti Sol released their highly anticipated third album, "Live and Die in Afrika", following an exclusive Listening Party & Press Conference, in Nairobi, Kenya, on Friday (November 20).
The 15-track "Live and Die in Afrika" album includes Sauti Sol mega hits: ‘Nishike’, ‘Sura Yako’, ‘Shake Yo Bam Bam’ and ‘Isabella’.
The album is a celebration of the African continent coming of age, flaunting the richness in cultural diversity , talent and resources.
The unreleased songs include 'Live and Die in Afrika', 'Say Yeah', 'Its Okay', 'Dollar Dollar', 'Kiss Me', 'Kuliko Jana' featuring Aaron Rimbui, 'Sambo Party', 'Nipe Nikupe' and 'Relax'. As a gift to fans, the album was made available for fans worldwide to download for free in the first 48 hours.
When asked what the album means to them and what they hope to achieve, the group shared their hope of seeing Kenya as the front runner for what music is in on the continent. "[We] want to show how great Africa is the world." said band member, Savara Mudigi.
is Sauti Sol's first self-produced album, with the expert co-production of renowned Kenyan producers such as Kagwe Mungai, Cedric Kadenyi and Ulopa Ngoma among others.
