Reactions as Chelsea fans Chant Roman Abramovich's name during tribute Ukraine before Burnley kick off
Before kick off in the league game between Burnley and Chelsea at Turf Moor, the two teams marched out and stood for a minute's applause to show solidarity with Ukraine.
However, the tribute got somewhat hijacked when fans of the away team (Chelsea) started chanting in support of their owner - Roman Abramovich instead, with Burnley fans booing them in turn.
Chelsea owner Abramovich had decided to put the club up for sale, following calls for sanctions by the UK Parliament to seize the club from him, amidst the ongoing crisis surrounding Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The Israeli-Russian Billionaire, and his Premier League team, have come under scrutiny for the inability to condemn the actions of President Vladimir Putin.
Former players and fans of the club have instead decided to back the billionaire, who has bankrolled all their success in the past 19 years, and it came in a big way on Saturday just before Chelsea kicked off their match against Burnley.
Social media reactions on Twitter have trailed the dramatic opening moments of the clash at Turf moor. Here are some reactions below:
