Sound Sultan, Vector, General Pype, Denrele, others to sensitize the public on deworming

The celebrity partners for this edition of the QMC newly rebranded deworming exercise include the uber talented Sound Sultan, prolific rapper ‘Vector’, 7 star ‘General Pype’, and the man rumoured to be Nigeria’s sexiest man ‘Kenneth Okolie’; one time Mr Nigeria, actor, model, body builder and humanitarian.

Also on the celebrity partnership bill are Tobbinator of TCD Photography, celebrity stylist and biker ‘Jane Michael Ekanem’ and Kimani Adekeye; a public relations executive as well as one of Unilag FM’s most popular female OAP. Other partners are Osa 7, TCD, SAG and The Buzz Warehaus.

Children contract worms by walking around barefoot, drinking unclean water or eating unclean food Poor sanitation and hygiene, coupled with very little to no access to clean drinking water make these children especially susceptible . It is estimated that as many as 2.3 billion people are infested with intestinal roundworms globally. Roundworms are one of the greatest killers of children and humanity. You can’t always tell from the outside if someone is infected as the effects silently accumulate over time as children grow up physically and mentally stunted and as the immune system gets weaker. These infected children develop significantly lower cognitive skills and functions and are stunted physically.

The exercise aims to deworm no less than 500 children on Saturday from 9:00am on Saturday at The Obalende Police Barracks Playing Ground, Wembley. (Volunteers are to convene by 8am)
