Speaking exclusively to Pulse, rapper Illbliss revealed what his new album '#Powerful' is all about.
"I have been putting in work as a rapper, a recording and performing rap artiste for a bit now. This is that one album that I recorded, and I felt really good about it. I felt good about the production, the concepts, the artistes that I featured on the album" said the rapper.
"It's a glorious album for me, a glorious piece of work because I had the chance to work with some artistes that I truly, truly admire their art." Guest appearances on this new album include pop acts Wizkid, KCee and dancehall queen Cynthia Morgan.
Further speaking on the new album Illbliss said he infused a lot of the Igbo language on this project which is reflective of the current state of rap in Nigeria.
Illbliss who is a label executive at Capital Hill owned by maverick music video director Clarence Peters also gave Pulse an insight on how he manages being a label head and artiste at the same time.
"I don't know man. It's crazy. I feel like two, three people in one. Sometimes I feel I have multiple personalities. Sometimes I am the guy that is driving the whole team to go get it...and on the flipside I am trying to write my music...the strength is divine, the strength comes from God" he admitted.
